The technical work of the HDH supports companies in the industry in many areas. It extends from participation in the development process of the EU Construction Product Regulation with CE marking and the Declaration of Performance to topics concerning plant and production technology through to the drawing up of an industry requirements matrix for furniture panel and board materials. In the case of cross-cutting issues, interdisciplinary workgroups explore those relevant technical topics with the objective of securing the quality of production and raw materials. In a market environment that changes with ever-faster speed, the increasing occurrence of political regulations and new international challenges, the HDH always acts in the interests of the German woodworking industry. Work in the technical workgroups of the European umbrella associations comes as natural to the HDH as its work in national sub-industries.
