Research

Research and development are the basic pillars for securing and developing the sustainability of companies in the German wood industry. The HDH therefore initiates and coordinates industry-specific and industry-wide research and development projects and provides help and advice for these projects. The issues examined in research projects are used to solve both structural and future issues, which are relevant for the companies in national, European and global markets. Here the association not only functions as an interface between industry and research institutions. Close cooperation for the future of the industry begins at an early stage of young careers. This is enabled through close networking with universities, research institutes and companies.
