Association of the German Domestic Furniture Industry (Verband der Deutschen Wohnmöbelindustrie - VdDW)
The Association of the German Domestic Furniture Industry (Verband der Deutschen Wohnmöbelindustrie - VdDW) is a trade association that operates nationwide, in which approx. 40 industrial companies and factories in the domestic furniture segment as well as producers of bedroom, dining room and hallway furniture and coat racks and stands are organised. The VdDW is the contact for its members and represents their interests at national and EU level, especially in issues concerning quality management, logistics, data communication and statistical analyses.
One service of the VdDW is the production of the industry's own order analysis. The participants are producers who sell to the private residential sector through the furniture trade. The association is therefore responding to the lack of informative value of official statistics, whose published figures do not include domestic furniture separately.
